Indian Norwegian storyteller building bridges between cultures

About

Stories that build bridges

Born in India, a culture steeped in rich and flowing story waters, I grew up loving tales and listening to the generational yarns of my elders.

In my family, storytelling was closely woven with a tradition of inquiry and truth-seeking. Folk tales and ancient myths were never relics of the past; they were living companions, woven with present realities to offer perspective for everyday life. From them I inherited a glowing torch of a generational lineage of stories that flow in my blood and are settled in the bones.

From them I inherited a quiet inheritance: the glowing torch of stories that flow in the blood and settle into the bones.

My education has carried me across different worlds. I studied at the School of Life in India and later trained in the edible arts at Le Cordon Bleu in Paris. I continued exploring multimedia edible design at the atelier of Colette Peters in Greenwich Village, New York, and deepened my storytelling practice at the School of Storytelling in England.

The blend of Eastern and Western traditions in my life and training allows me to feel at home in different cultural landscapes and in the spaces that flow between them.

Now living in Norway, I find myself quite literally West of the Sun and East of the Moon. Questions of belonging and traveling roots have become personal quests, and the seeking itself gives me the threads with which I now weave my own stories.

In a world where separation can pull us apart, the work of building bridges feels more essential than ever.

One step. One bend of the river. One stone at a time.

I begin where I stand.

Shall we try together?
